GTA III Trouble

ok i know this isnt a Computor game forum but im trying everywhere to find out whats wrong with my computor.

Everything starts out fine , im installing the game , all the audio , visual's are ok then i load the game and the writing is all Blocky and Only the writing in the game, everythign else is ok . Can anyone tell me whats wrong?

Is this Windows XP by chance? You are talking about when you start the game the main title screen is like a yellow blocky color and you can't select anything? Is this what is happening? Thanks.

Yes , but its All the writing , not just the start up menu, everything else in the game is running fine. Yes i've got winows XP.

Im downloading DirectX 0.9 and the patch for GTAIII to see if that works.

This is a Geforce based card too I'am Guessing, if so, check out ==>
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Patch/Q306676/WXP/EN-US/Q306676_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe <----- download that, install, and reboot...that should fix it. I had the same problem on my XP box too. Hope this helps.
