Counterstrike Error

Everytime I try to join an online game in Counterstrike, it gives the following error message:
The selected OpenGL mode is not supported by your video card.

My video card is a GeForce2 MX 400 64MB, and I already tried downloading the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com, but that didn't help. I am running Windows XP Pro w/ SP1. Any suggestions?

This may sound like it has nothing to do with it.. but when I updated my OpenGL it ended the error with MOHAA...

Did you get directX 9.0? Make sure everything is updated before trying again.

How can I tell what version of directx I have?

Sorry,... I meant the Game one... go to the game site and get a new one. My MOHAA had an update OpenGL "driver" on the site. It's not really called a driver.. can't remember what it's called.

I didn't mean your video card driver ('cause you meantioned already taht you updated that! ;) )

So you want me to go to www.sierra.com (The website of the makers of CS) and find an OpenGL driver? I couldn't find anything like that on their website....

Did you go to the game site? Try and see if there are known bugs. I got my MOHAA from ebay ( shame on me :lol:) and I googled "MOHAA errors" before I even played the first game. Came back with all sorts of issues. Got the fixes and VOILA!:cool:
How's counterstrike? Never tried it. I have no life :)

I couldn't find any known bugs from the websites.....I don't know how CS is because I haven't ever played it either.......I just recently installed it ;)

They have got to have some update on the game... I mean, nothing is bug free these days! They never were!!!

Speaking of Sierra...anyone remember that screen saver of the dude on an Island... it was one of the first Sierra softwares. Can't remember the name. He used to get bottles that washed up, and sharks that ate them...this was circa 1991/2 I think:puzzled:
