FF8 install problem

Hey i have a VERY mind boggling problem ( at least its hard 4 me to figure out) I tried to install FF8 on a dell computer w/ XP on it and when the instalation shield powers up, it gets to 99% and then displays a small box with a red X in it, but doesn't have anything written in it. When i hit okay it close's the instalation process. However, i tried to install it on a Gateway computer w/ XP and it worked fine. Whats the problem with my Dell computer? :puzzled:

Is this a legit copy of the game? Have you ran all updates to windows and install DX9?
