Cannot install Battlefield 1942

I have just reformatted my hard drive to NTFS, and I cannot install the game. I keep getting a CRC error message indicating it cannot install a certain file or files. It's telling me that i have a corrupted disk, whic I refused to believe, becuase I just install the game last week before I reformatted it to windows 2000. Any ideas? :no:

Have you installed all the updates and service paks?

This is a long shot, but do you have Anti virus protection, and or a firewall? Try disabling them before re-installing.:)

it is the original game cd...and i disabled the anti-virus software( i think..but i iwill try again tonight) ....i have a cable modem, but what does a firewall have to with with installing the game from the cd?

i have re-installed the via 4-in-1 drivers. it seem to fix the problem
