If you have modified the game, I would point my finger at that.
Does an unmodded install of the game crash?

No, and you are correct it is mods and, well, i want to mod lol. I get all these freakin tight mods and then it just screws up. no matter, what i do, it just meses up, i do EXACLY what the readme says also. any ideas?

Well, this post you can just delete or something, i'm saying goodbye to GTA3. Twas one of the best games of all time. But now, i have moved on. To VICE CITY!!! :excited:

I prefer Vice City on PS2 because of the controls, ever tried flying the helicopter with a keyboard? Tricky! And if you wanted to mod GTA3 did you check out "Real GTA"? Very cool mod

Ahahaha, actualy, real GTA was one of the mods that kept screwing me over with GTA3. I got it working for a while, it kicked butt. But then i got bored of it and had VC, and now i have almost the same error. Although if i don't mod or add anything cool to make the game super sweet, it's ok i guess, i do have 100% completion, and on the helicopter with keyboard....who said i used a keyboard? :) I got the Nyko Air Flo PC Comtroller, with grip/fans, and it's basicly like a PS2 controller, analog and all.

But thanks for the help with GTA3, i don't doubt yall for not beable to find it out, niether could i. But i did find out that on VC, if i didn't mod anything, i could beat the game, but if i modded certain mods, it would mess it up. Stlil figuring exacly what mods, but i'm getting tehre. Oh and uh whenever i mess around with my GTAVC Data file, or config file, or some other like default.ide. Thats when it messes up. But i'm not doin anything wrong.
